A New Energy
Over the course of an 9-month engagement, Lovejoy built the comms strategy for internationally renowned design studio Karlssonwilker from scratch. For this specific study, we’ll look at their clothing project. The 20-year-old design firm had started a project with a local Ridgewood wood grainer, to try and revive the art of wood graining in the community. They collaborated on a custom ‘Ridgewood Jacket’ which featured the artist’s signature wood grain to bring attention to the cause, which had spread and was widely received in the community. It was our mission to draw attention from outside of Ridgewood, and increase Karlssonwilker’s reach across traditional press and social media.
Our press efforts led to interest from the New York Times, and features in WWD and New York Magazine’s Curbed, with a combined reach of 11,423,572 Unique Monthly Viewership.
We also conducted organic influencer outreach, and seeded 15 influencers with their very own Ridgewood Jacket, leading to 808,000 accounts reached from story and in-feed posts, a 330% increase in website traffic and 545% increase in page views within the year.
Our work with KarlssonWilker was full-firm support, and included a personal PR push for the co-founders.
